CURRENT PROBLEM
Lack of Outdoor Event Facilities
A lack of accessible water fountains makes it difficult for students, families, and spectators to stay hydrated, especially during hot summer months.
A lack of restroom facilities, including handicap-accessible amenities inconveniences attendees and limits inclusivity for all community members.
Insufficient shelter options during severe weather puts attendees and participants at risk during fast-moving storms.
Family accommodations for student activities with large events are lacking, including proper concessions.
PROPOSED SOLUTION
Install water stations in key areas to provide easy access to hydration for everyone attending outdoor events.
Construct new restrooms with ADA standards, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all visitors.
Build structures that can serve as storm shelters during emergencies.
Update and expand concessions and storage facilities to improve service efficiency during events and ensure proper protection of equipment and supplies.

- Enhanced Safety: The addition of storm shelters and accessible facilities will provide peace of mind for event organizers and attendees, knowing they are prepared for emergencies.
- Increased Comfort: Families and community members will enjoy a more welcoming environment, with essential amenities that make attending outdoor events enjoyable for everyone.
- Improved Inclusivity: ADA-compliant restrooms and accessible water stations will ensure that all visitors, regardless of physical ability, can comfortably participate in and enjoy outdoor events.
- Community Events: Updated concessions and storage will streamline events, enabling Pettisville to host additional gatherings, from school activities to larger community events, maintaining the safety and preservation of necessary resources.
